Arunachal’s Rising Stars Shine: Rupa Bayor to Represent India at Asian Taekwondo Championship, Toko Takum and Likha Deechum Excel at National Badminton Championship

Miss Rupa Bayor, a promising young talent from the state, is all set to represent India at the prestigious 8th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in Vietnam from May 14 to 15, 2024. Her participation underscores India’s growing prominence in the global taekwondo arena, bringing pride to her home state and the nation as a whole.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh athletes have also made a mark at the National Badminton Championship held in Panipat, Haryana. Toko Takum emerged victorious by clinching gold in the Under-30 men’s category, showcasing his skill and determination on the court. Likha Deechum added to the state’s glory by securing both gold and silver medals in the under 14 and under 17 girls’ categories at the same tournament, demonstrating exceptional talent and versatility.
