Guwahati, 2nd May: In a significant development, the Bilaipur police in Assam’s Hailakandi district have arrested two Bangladeshi nationals identified as Rubel Ahmed Sheikh and Amirun Begum.
Residing in a village in Bilaipur since their arrival from Bangladesh in 2019, the duo was brought into custody following diligent efforts by Officer-in-charge Nabajit Lahon, acting on confidential information.
The swift action led to the successful apprehension of the individuals, who were then presented before the Hailakandi Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court for further legal proceedings.
