Guwahati, 5th May: In a shocking incident, a man was brutally murdered by his own brother during a heated family dispute in Jorhat district of Assam.
The incident occurred at Kathalguri tea estate under Mariani police station.
The victim has been identified as Ratnu Topna.
As per sources, Ratnu was allegedly attacked with a sharp machete by his owner elder brother identified as Chalu Topna.
Following the brutal murder, local police officials arrived at the spot and have detained Chalu Topna in connection to the case.
It needs to be noted that in the last three days, two gruesome murders have occurred in Mariani.
