Assam: AIUDF Leader Predicts Victory Margin in Dhubri; Third Phase of Lok Sabha Elections Witnesses Active Participation

Guwahati, 7th May: Najrul Hoque, a leader of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), expressed confidence in his party’s prospects, asserting a significant lead in the Lok Sabha general elections against the Congress party in Dhubri constituency.

Hoque, who cast his vote in Dhubri on May 7 during the third phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, articulated his optimism by stating, “In Dhubri, we will lead by 60,000-70,000 votes against Congress. Congress will come in second place, while AIUDF will come in first place.”

The voter turnout across the four Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam during the third phase of polling stood at 45.88 percent until 1 pm, officials reported. Dhubri recorded the highest turnout at 47.73 percent, followed by Barpeta at 46.83 percent, Kokrajhar at 46.43 percent, and Guwahati at 42.13 percent.

The third phase of the Lok Sabha general elections commenced on May 7 at 7 am, encompassing 93 constituencies across 11 states and Union Territories. The active participation of voters underscores the significance of the democratic process in shaping the nation’s future.
