Guwahati, 11th May: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has stirred controversy with his bold assertion that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will inevitably become part of India, reaffirming the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Addressing remarks made by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy regarding the Pulwama attack, Sarma emphasized India’s steadfast commitment to reclaiming PoK, stating, “The Indian flag is getting hoisted in PoK today. In the next few years, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will also come to India…”
Sarma’s statement, made while campaigning for BJP candidate Girraj Singh in Begusarai, underscores the party’s unwavering stance on national security and territorial integrity. He reiterated the NDA’s capability to provide stable governance and fulfill the aspirations of the people of Bihar, stressing the need for a strong electoral mandate.
Speaking at an election rally in Barrackpore, West Bengal, Sarma outlined the BJP-led NDA’s ambitious goal of securing at least 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls to accomplish a range of “unfinished tasks.” He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for 400 Lok Sabha seats, signaling the party’s determination to implement its agenda effectively.
Sarma also addressed the contentious issue of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), asserting that the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal would be unable to thwart its implementation. He underscored the BJP’s commitment to upholding national security and safeguarding the rights of persecuted minorities.

As the electoral landscape intensifies, Sarma’s assertive stance reflects the BJP’s strategic vision and determination to pursue its agenda with vigor.
