Guwahati, 13th May: On Sunday, May 12, the body of a man who had been missing for three days was discovered in Chaygaon, Guwahati. The decomposed remains were found on the roadside in the Tokoradia Mazpar area of Chaygaon.
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Hemanta Kalita, son of Uma Kalita. Hemanta had been reported missing since May 9, with his phone being switched off for several days.
The discovery of Hemanta’s body has sparked unrest in the area, with locals alleging foul play. Chaygaon police have recovered the body and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
