Northeast Desk, 13th May: On May 12, Manipur Police conducted operations resulting in the arrest of individuals involved in criminal activities across the state.
Firstly, Asem Netaji Singh, also known as Neta (40), a member of the proscribed outfit Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), was apprehended from Ninthoukhong in Bishnupur district. Upon his arrest, law enforcement recovered a complete computer set and a mobile phone from his possession. Netaji was allegedly involved in multiple extortion cases targeting the general public, government employees, and businesses.
In a separate operation, two individuals, Taibanganba Sanoujam (25) and Moirangthem Bobo (40), were arrested for their involvement in the abduction and physical assault of four on-duty police personnel. The incident occurred on Saturday, prompting an overnight search leading to their arrest on May 12.
