BSF Thwarts Drone Smuggling Attempt Along Punjab Border

National Desk, 15th May: Border Security Forces (BSF) troops successfully intercepted the movement of a drone near the border fence in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab on May 15. Acting swiftly, the BSF managed to track and neutralize the drone according to established protocol.

The interception, which occurred around 6:15 am, led to the recovery of a small drone in the area of Village-Havelian. Attached to the drone was a packet suspected to contain heroin, weighing approximately 550 grams.

Upon inspection, the packet was found wrapped in transparent adhesive tape, concealing two smaller packets secured with yellow adhesive tape. Additionally, a nylon rope ring was discovered attached to the main packet.

The recovered drone, identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Classic model manufactured in China, was found in a partially broken condition.

This successful interception underscores the vigilance and proactive measures undertaken by the BSF to combat smuggling activities along the Punjab border, preventing the illegal trafficking of narcotics and ensuring the security of the region.
