Vehicle carrying Assam Police personnel meets with road mishap in Bihar, 2 in critical condition
Guwahati, 15th May: A vehicle carrying over two dozen Assam Police personnel was involved in a tragic accident in Bihar on May 15, resulting in serious injuries to several individuals. The accident occurred when the police vehicle collided head-on with an approaching truck from the opposite direction.
The injured police personnel have been promptly referred for primary treatment to the nearest hospital, with two reported to be in critical condition. Preliminary reports indicate that all the injured individuals hail from Makum in Tinsukia district.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause and ascertain any potential factors contributing to the tragic incident.
This unfortunate event follows another recent tragedy involving three Assam Rifles jawans, who drowned in a river in Bihar’s Samastipura while on election duty for the Lok Sabha elections. The jawans, engaged in routine activities post-election procedures, found themselves overwhelmed by the waters of a nearby river while attempting to bathe.
