Missing Tripura Girl Rescued After Nine Months, Suspect Arrested
Northeast Desk, 17th May: A minor girl who had been missing for nine months from Tripura’s Khowai district was rescued from a village in Rajasthan, according to police officials.
One person, identified as Ashok Kumar Choudhury, was arrested in connection with the case.
The 16-year-old girl from the Singicherra area under Khowai police station had disappeared from her native area in September 2023. In a joint operation with local police, Rajasthan authorities traced her location and rescued her on May 11.
