Nagaland: NDPP President Chingwang Konyak Celebrates 8th Foundation Day, Expresses Gratitude to People of State
Northeast Desk, 17th May: Chingwang Konyak, President of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), extended warm greetings to the people of Nagaland on the occasion of the party’s 8th Foundation Day. In a heartfelt message, he acknowledged the journey of the party since its inception on May 17, 2017, and expressed profound gratitude to the citizens of Nagaland for their unwavering support.
“On behalf of all party members, I bring greetings to the people of Nagaland. Founded with the principles and motto of ‘Facta non Verba’, Deeds not Words, the NDPP has made significant strides in just eight years. We owe our progress to God Almighty,” Konyak stated in a press release.
He highlighted that the NDPP was formed in response to the people’s desire for change and a new political direction, emphasizing regional identity with a global perspective. Konyak praised the dedication and hard work of party members and the steadfast support from the people of Nagaland, which have been instrumental in the party’s achievements.
Reflecting on the party’s milestones, Konyak noted that the NDPP has navigated through two general elections (2018 and 2023), several bye-elections, and two Lok Sabha elections (2019 and 2024), securing significant victories despite being a relatively new political entity. He attributed this success to divine grace and the collective efforts of the NDPP’s members.
The NDPP President also expressed gratitude for the support and commitment of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), acknowledging the collaboration between the two parties.
“I am grateful to all party members, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, and the NDPP Parliamentary Board for their unwavering support to my leadership and their contributions to our party’s success,” he added.
Looking ahead, Konyak recognized the challenges that remain and reiterated the party’s commitment to delivering on its promises of transparency, accountability, meritocracy, and good governance. He called on the citizens of Nagaland to continue their support and work together towards making Nagaland a “State of Excellence.”
“Let’s unite and take Nagaland forward,” Konyak urged, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in achieving the party’s goals.
