Assam: Joint Operation Busts Major Heroin Trafficking Ring in Golaghat

Guwahati, 27th May: In a meticulously coordinated operation, Golaghat Police, Merapani Police, and the F/142 CRPF have delivered a significant blow to the region’s illicit drug trade. The collaborative effort led to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of a substantial quantity of heroin, shedding light on the clandestine activities of the area’s drug trafficking network.

The arrested individuals, identified as Ainul Haque, Tafiq Ali, Abu Bakar, and his wife Anjuma Begum, were apprehended during a decisive move demonstrating the unwavering commitment of Golaghat Police to combat criminal activities. The suspects were caught in a Bolero vehicle (registration number AS 05 Q 9697), where officers found 41 plastic soap boxes meticulously packed with heroin, totaling 505.05 grams.

This operation, executed with precision and coordination, underscores the dedication and bravery of the officers involved. It stands as a testament to their resolve to pursue justice and uphold law and order in the region.
