Assam: Gaurav Gogoi and Rakibul Hussain Lead in Jorhat and Dhubri Constituencies
Guwahati, 4th June: Congress MP and candidate from the Jorhat Lok Sabha seat, Gaurav Gogoi, is leading by a significant margin of 44,837 votes, according to the official Election Commission of India (ECI) trends.
Speaking to the media, Gogoi echoed the sentiments of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who had earlier dismissed the exit polls as “Modi polls.” “In the beginning, all I would like to say is that Rahul Gandhi had said that the Exit Polls declared a few days back are Modi polls – this has turned out to be true. The ground reality is turning out to be different from Exit Polls,” Gogoi stated.
Meanwhile, Congress candidate Rakibul Hussain is currently leading in the Dhubri constituency with 42,228 votes. Badruddin Ajmal from AIUDF is trailing in second place, having secured 17,570 votes. The final Lok Sabha election result for the Dhubri constituency in Assam is yet to be declared as we wait for more updates on the vote tally.
