Assam: 31-year-old woman found dead in Tinsukia’s Baghjan; Suspected Rape and Murder
Guwahati, 6th June: Amidst a concerning rise in crimes across Assam, a middle-aged woman was discovered dead in Baghjan on Thursday morning, sparking shockwaves throughout the community. The woman is suspected to have been raped before her death, with her body subsequently disposed of.
According to local reports, the deceased has been identified as the wife of an individual named Suring from the area. Her body was found near Baghjan EPS.
Locals have expressed suspicion that the woman was raped and murdered. Her body was discovered in the morning by a person fishing in a nearby pond.
Upon notification by locals, Baghjan Police and Guijan Police arrived at the scene. “The investigation into the incident is currently underway,” stated the police.
The tragic incident highlights the urgent need for heightened vigilance and efforts to ensure the safety and security of individuals within the community.
