Northeast Desk, 27th June: Manita Pradhan, a seasoned mountaineer from Soreng, Sikkim, has reached a new pinnacle in her ambitious Seven Summit pursuit by successfully scaling Mt Denali in North America. On June 23, 2024, Manita and her expedition team commenced their ascent at 11:00 am, achieving the summit by 10:30 pm the same day.
Having previously conquered challenging peaks like Mt Everest, Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Elbrus, and Mt Aconcagua, Manita’s triumph on Mt Denali further solidifies her exceptional mountaineering credentials. The Seven Summit challenge, which entails scaling the highest mountains on all seven continents, showcases Manita’s remarkable determination and prowess in the sport.
This recent feat not only underscores Manita’s personal commitment but also fills her native state of Sikkim with immense pride. Her successful ascent of Mt Denali stands as a testament to her unwavering perseverance and deep expertise in mountaineering, marking significant progress in her quest to complete the Seven Summits and earning admiration both locally and internationally.
