Union Minister Sonowal Seeks Aid for Assam Flood Victims, Assured by CM Sarma

Guwahati, 1st July: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has reached out to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma concerning the escalating flood situation in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and other affected regions across the state. In a recent tweet, Sonowal emphasized the urgency of providing immediate assistance to flood victims.

“Spoke to Hon’ble Assam CM Shri @himantabiswa over phone regarding the flood situation in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and other parts of the state. Requested him to provide all necessary assistance to the flood victims,” Sonowal tweeted.

He further expressed confidence in CM Sarma’s commitment to alleviating the crisis, stating, “The Hon’ble CM assured immediate relief to the affected people.”

In response, CM Sarma assured proactive measures are in place to manage the situation effectively. “We are continuously monitoring the situation in Dibrugarh,” Sarma affirmed. “Our administration is taking all necessary measures and stands firmly with people of Dibrugarh and other affected areas in this hour of crisis.”

As floodwaters continue to rise, local authorities are actively deploying resources to deliver aid and support to those impacted by the disaster.
