Delhi High Court Issues Notice to CBI in Response to Kejriwal’s Plea Against Arrest in Excise Policy Case
National Desk, 2nd July: The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea challenging his arrest by the central agency in the Delhi excise policy case. The court has scheduled the next hearing for July 17.
The CBI has been directed to file its reply within seven days, allowing Kejriwal to file a rejoinder within two days thereafter. This development is part of the ongoing legal dispute surrounding Kejriwal’s arrest, which has attracted considerable public and political scrutiny.
Kejriwal’s supporters argue that his arrest is politically motivated, while the CBI contends that it is supported by substantial evidence of wrongdoing in the excise policy case. The upcoming hearing on July 17 will be pivotal in determining the future course of this high-profile case.
