Manipur Security Operation Leads to Extensive Checkpoints and Arrests
Northeast Desk, 9th July: In an extensive security operation, authorities in Manipur have established 125 checkpoints across the state, spanning both hill and valley districts. This heightened security measure has resulted in the detention of 84 individuals for various violations, underscoring the state’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
Comprehensive search operations and area domination exercises have been conducted in fringe and vulnerable areas. These actions are part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of the region’s residents.
The operation has also prioritized the movement of essential goods. A total of 129 vehicles traveling along NH-37 and 244 vehicles along NH-2 have been provided safe passage, thanks to stringent security protocols implemented at all vulnerable locations. Security convoys have been arranged along sensitive stretches to guarantee the free and secure movement of these vehicles.
This sweeping operation reflects the state’s proactive approach to addressing security challenges and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
