Former Sikkim Minister R.C. Poudyal Reported Missing

Northeast Desk, 9th July: In a concerning development, former Sikkim Minister Ramchandra Poudyal, widely known as R.C. Poudyal, has gone missing since the morning of July 7, 2024. Poudyal, who departed from his residence in Singtam at 9 a.m. with plans to visit family in Setipool, was expected to return by 2 p.m. However, he has not been seen or heard from since.

Family members grew increasingly worried as hours passed without any contact from Poudyal. Despite their efforts to locate him through relatives and friends, no information about his whereabouts has surfaced. Consequently, the family filed a missing person report at the Pakyong Police Station, urging authorities to launch a search.

Poudyal was last seen wearing traditional attire—a kurta and pajamas—on the day of his disappearance. His sudden vanishing has deeply unsettled his family and the local community alike. In response, his family has made a heartfelt appeal for anyone with relevant information to step forward, emphasizing the crucial role of public cooperation in ensuring Poudyal’s safe return.

Local authorities have initiated investigations, but thus far, no significant leads have emerged. Meanwhile, supporters and well-wishers of Poudyal remain optimistic and united in their hope for his prompt discovery and safe return.
