IMD Issues Heavy Rainfall Alert for Nagaland, Urges Precautions Across States

Northeast Desk, 16th July: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather advisory warning of heavy rainfall across Nagaland today, alongside Odisha and Chhattisgarh. The forecast includes very heavy rain in these northeastern and central Indian states, prompting the need for heightened preparedness and caution.

In addition to Nagaland, extremely heavy rainfall is expected until Tuesday in Konkan, Goa, and the ghat areas of Central Maharashtra. Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka are also anticipated to experience extreme rainfall conditions today and tomorrow. Further, Telangana, Marathwada, and Vidarbha regions are likely to witness very heavy rainfall tomorrow.

Residents in Nagaland are strongly advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with weather alerts to ensure safety amidst the anticipated severe weather conditions.
