Nagaland: ANCSU Urges One-Time Promotion Relaxation for Students Amid NEP Transition
Northeast Desk, 25th July: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has called for a one-time relaxation in promotion criteria for 2nd and 4th semester students who have up to three backlogs. This appeal addresses ongoing result-related issues as colleges across Nagaland transition to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, affecting students, faculty, and parents.
In a recent letter, ANCSU expressed appreciation to Nagaland University for their responsive actions. The university has decided to allow the promotion of students from the 2nd to 3rd semester and from the 4th to 5th semester, despite having up to three backlogs. This special consideration highlights the university’s commitment to student welfare during this significant shift in educational policy.
ANCSU emphasized the critical nature of this decision, viewing it as a crucial support for the academic progression of the college community. They encouraged students to approach the new policy with diligence and awareness to adapt smoothly to the changes.
The union reaffirmed its dedication to advocating for the college community’s needs and concerns, pledging to represent their voices in all circumstances.
