Northeast Desk, 27th July: Assam Rifles marked the Silver Jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas with a significant and noble initiative at Brighter English School in Terapur, Imphal East district. The commemorative event aimed to honor the bravery of soldiers while also improving the school’s infrastructure.
In a gesture to enhance hygiene standards, Assam Rifles installed two washbasins on the school premises for the students. The event featured a painting competition themed “Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay Diwas 2024,” in which 82 students and six teachers participated. The celebration concluded with refreshments for both students and teachers.
During the event, participants paid homage to the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War. This initiative not only celebrated the bravery of the soldiers but also instilled a sense of patriotism among the young students. The teachers and students expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for their humanitarian efforts and contributions to the school’s infrastructure.
