Meghalaya: Government Gypsy Destroyed in Arson Attack in Shillong

Northeast Desk, 29th July: A government-owned Gypsy, registered as ML 01 5989 and belonging to the Public Works Department (PWD), was set on fire by unidentified individuals in Nongmynsong, Shillong, early on July 29.

The vehicle was completely destroyed in the blaze, which occurred around 3 am near the Nongmensong Umkdait post office. Emergency services arrived to find the vehicle already severely damaged.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the arson attack and are working to identify those responsible. A case has been registered.
