Arunachal Pradesh Minister Joins Tiranga Yatra to Celebrate National Pride

Northeast, August 14 — Dasanglu Pul, the lone woman minister in the Arunachal Pradesh government and Minister for Child and Women Development, participated in the Tiranga Yatra in Walong, Anjaw district, to honor the national flag and strengthen patriotic sentiments.

Organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) of Anjaw district, the Yatra extended from the Walong Welcome Gate to the Walong War Memorial. The memorial commemorates the 2,420 armed forces members who sacrificed their lives in Kameng district during the 1962 Indo-China war.

Minister Pul expressed her gratitude for participating in the event, highlighting its significance in reinforcing values of unity and patriotism. She remarked, “The Tiranga Yatra not only celebrates national pride but also fortifies our collective resolve to honor our flag, the Tiranga. Marching with fellow citizens, each carrying the Tiranga, was both humbling and inspiring.”

She emphasized that the Yatra serves as a poignant reminder of the nation’s shared heritage and the sacrifices of past heroes.
