Guwahati, 16th August: A devastating fire broke out in Samaguri’s Barmabil area, leaving a family grappling with considerable property damage. The incident occurred at the residence of Shahidul Islam, where the blaze is believed to have started from a cooking gas cylinder, according to eyewitnesses.
Local fire services responded swiftly to the emergency, working in tandem with community members to contain the flames. Despite their efforts, the fire caused extensive destruction, with preliminary estimates indicating losses exceeding Rs 2 lakh in goods and furniture.
The incident has left the family in distress, as they assess the full extent of the damage to their home.
