Tripura CM Manik Saha and BJP Delegation Head to Delhi for Key Rajya Sabha Election Discussions

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, along with BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee, departed for New Delhi on Monday evening for critical discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. They were accompanied by BJP Sangathan Mahamantri Ravindra Raju and Tripura BJP Prabhari Dr. Rajdeep Roy.

The delegation’s primary objective is to finalize the BJP’s candidate for the Rajya Sabha election scheduled for September 3. The seat became available following Biplab Kumar Deb’s transition to the Lok Sabha. According to BJP sources, while the candidate has been selected, their identity will not be disclosed until after Tuesday’s meeting.

The visit is also set to cover broader party strategies and organizational issues, highlighting its importance for Tripura’s political future. The outcome of these discussions is anticipated to have significant implications for the upcoming election and the party’s positioning in the state.
