Northeast Desk, 22nd August: In a successful operation on Monday, August 21, security forces rescued an abducted individual and apprehended two members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) involved in the crime. The operation took place at the Joint Sawombung Naka Post under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East District.
The suspects, identified as 31-year-old Konjengbam Narendra alias Naoton Singh and 31-year-old Maibam Priya Devi, were arrested during the operation. A four-wheeler vehicle used in the abduction was also seized, providing crucial evidence against the accused.
As investigations continue, authorities are working to dismantle the broader criminal network linked to the incident.
