Arunachal Pradesh Teacher Jyoti Panka Selected for National Teachers’ Award 2024
Northeast Desk, 29th August: Jyoti Panka, a dedicated teacher from Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh, has been honored with the prestigious National Teachers’ Award 2024. The Ministry of Education announced the accolade on Tuesday, celebrating her significant contributions to education and community development.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to social media to extend his congratulations, highlighting Panka’s exceptional commitment. “Hailing from Tirap district, her dedication towards shaping young minds and uplifting our community is truly remarkable,” Khandu tweeted.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also praised Panka’s achievements, noting, “Her passion for empowering students and enriching their learning experiences is truly inspiring. Best wishes for her continued success and impactful journey in education.” Mein emphasized Panka’s innovative initiatives such as “Ek Kadam Sundarta Ki Aur” for school beautification and “Chale Gaon Ki Aur” aimed at enhancing rural education.
Panka will be honored on Teachers’ Day, September 5, in New Delhi, among 50 educators selected for the award. The recognition includes a certificate of merit, a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, and a silver medal.
