Tripura CM Manik Saha Thanks Assam for ₹5 Crore Donation to Flood Victims
Northeast Desk, 1st September: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for a generous donation of ₹5 crore to aid flood-affected victims in the state. The contribution was officially handed over by Assam’s Minister of Tourism, Jayanta Malla Barua, during a meeting at CM Saha’s official residence in Agartala.
Taking to social media platform X, CM Saha conveyed his appreciation, stating, “My sincere thanks and gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the Government of Assam for coming forward to help the flood victims.” He also acknowledged Minister Jayanta Malla Barua for personally delivering the donation on behalf of the Assam government.
The ₹5 crore donation is intended to provide much-needed relief to the victims of recent floods in Tripura, demonstrating a strong sense of solidarity and support between the neighboring states.
