Assam: Manas National Park Set to Reopen for Tourists on October 1, Following Monsoon Closure

Guwahati, 5th Sepetember: In a much-anticipated announcement, Dr. C. Ramesh, Field Director of the Manas Tiger Project, confirmed that Manas National Park will reopen to tourists on October 1, 2024. The reopening follows directives from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

The park, which was closed to visitors on June 20, 2024, due to the onset of the monsoon season, will now be accessible for the 2024-25 tourist season. As the rains subside, preparations are underway to welcome tourists eager to experience the park’s diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery.

Manas National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is known for its lush landscapes and as a sanctuary for endangered species, making it a prime destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.
