Manipur: Woman Killed in Clash Between Armed Groups in Kangpokpi District
Northeast Desk, 10th September: A 46-year-old woman, Nemjakhol Lhungdim, was killed during a clash between two armed groups in Thangbuh village, Kangpokpi district, on Sunday night. The conflict resulted in the destruction of several homes, forcing residents to flee into nearby forests.
The intense clash involved the discharge of powerful bombs, and later that night, an exchange of fire occurred between militants and CRPF personnel stationed at a nearby school. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the gunfight with the CRPF.
The woman’s body was transferred to her family following a post-mortem at Churachandpur district hospital. The situation remains under investigation as security forces work to restore order in the area.
