Assam: Dhubri Petrol Pump Looted by Bike-Borne Miscreants; Three Arrested
Guwahati, 18th September: A petrol pump on DK Road in Dhubri, Assam, was robbed by bike-borne miscreants on the night of September 17. The attack resulted in injuries to one employee and the theft of over Rs 40,000.
According to sources, three assailants targeted the ASTC HP petrol pump, assaulting staff and injuring Pintu Kumar Patel. The robbers fled the scene after the heist, and the incident was captured on the petrol pump’s CCTV cameras, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.
Patel filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Dhubri Sadar police station shortly after the attack. Initial findings revealed that the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and executed the robbery with precision.
Acting on the evidence, Dhubri police have arrested three suspects identified as Sanjib Das, Saddam Hussain, and Zakaria Sheikh, all residents of Dhubri. Saddam Hussain is from Chalakura Part-IV, Zakaria Sheikh hails from Bhashanir Char, and Sanjib Das is from Jogomaya Ghat.
The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the motives behind the attack and to determine if the suspects have any previous criminal records.
