Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Commends Formation of Tawang District Archery Association, Pledges Support
Northeast Desk, 20th September: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed his enthusiasm on September 20 after meeting with members of the newly established Tawang District Archery Association (TDAA). During the gathering, Khandu congratulated the association for its formation and emphasized the cultural significance of archery within the Monpa tribe.
“Archery is deeply rooted in our culture, and it is inspiring to see TDAA’s dedication to preserving this tradition,” Khandu remarked, acknowledging the sport’s integral role in the Monpa heritage. He also praised the association’s mission to cultivate young talent, with aspirations of competing on the Olympic stage.
In his address, CM Khandu reaffirmed his commitment to supporting TDAA, aligning their objectives with the state government’s broader vision of empowering the youth and fostering a drug-free society. He emphasized the importance of promoting traditional sports as a means of cultural preservation and youth development in Arunachal Pradesh.
