Kiren Rijiju Calls for Dialogue to Restore Peace in Manipur, Promotes National Unity at Northeast Students’ Festival

Northeast Desk, 21st September: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has underscored the critical need for peace restoration in the conflict-ridden state of Manipur, urging open dialogue between the affected communities. Speaking at the Northeast Students’ Festival, organized by My Home India, Rijiju emphasized the importance of communication and cooperation in resolving tensions.

“It is essential to restore peace in Manipur. Both communities must come together through dialogue. Dialogues will have to be there,” Rijiju stated, stressing the urgency of peace efforts in the region.

The event, themed “Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat,” brought together students from the northeastern states and people from across India, with a focus on fostering unity and understanding. Rijiju relayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of national unity, urging the youth to work towards making India stronger. “We have told people about the Prime Minister’s message—that we must unite to make the country stronger. A united Bharat will become a Shreshth Bharat,” he remarked.

Reflecting on the nation’s progress over the last decade, Rijiju noted the significant positive changes, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in reinforcing national integration and mutual respect among different communities.
