Eastern Command Army Commander Lt. Gen. R.C. Tiwari Inspects Forward Posts in North Sikkim

Northeast Desk, 23th September: Lt. Gen. R.C. Tiwari, Army Commander of the Eastern Command, visited forward posts under the Trishakti Corps in North Sikkim to evaluate the security situation and operational readiness. The inspection included high-altitude areas, with some posts located above 17,000 feet.

During his visit, Lt. Gen. Tiwari interacted with the troops, commending their professionalism and commitment to securing India’s borders in harsh conditions. He recognized the soldiers’ dedication and their crucial role in maintaining border security amid challenging terrain.

The Army Commander expressed confidence in the operational preparedness of the formation and acknowledged the efforts of the personnel in ensuring national safety in this sensitive region.
