Assam: Kamrup (M) District Schools to Resume Normal Classes Amid Improved Weather Conditions
Guwahati, 24th September: In a recent update, the District Commissioner of Kamrup (M) has authorized the resumption of normal classes in schools following improved weather conditions observed since the evening of September 23, 2024. The previous directive issued on the same day, which had imposed restrictions on school operations, has now been officially revoked.
As a result of this decision, all government, provincialized, and private schools in the Kamrup Metro district are set to resume regular classes starting September 25, 2024. The revocation of the earlier directive marks a significant step towards restoring normalcy in the education sector in the region.
However, it is important to note that the earlier order dated *September 20, 2024, which stipulated school timings, will remain in effect. Under this directive, schools will operate between *7:30 AM and 12:30 PM until further notice.
This decision reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that educational activities continue while maintaining necessary precautions in light of recent weather challenges.
