Guwahati, 25th September: In relation to the alleged molestation of an 8-year-old girl, Dhubri police have arrested Minaruddin Haque, a 50-year-old man. The incident took place in Dhubri’s Hazarigaon neighbourhood and shocked the local population.
The victim’s mother claimed that Haque, a resident of AMCo Road, Ward No. 14, had been making unwanted advances towards her daughter. The toddler told her mother about the experience after allegedly complaining of chest pain.
The mother confronted Haque after learning the truth, and she also informed other family members and neighbours. After that, the accused was taken into custody by the community before being turned over to the police.
The Dhubri police have started a comprehensive investigation following the incident, which includes examining the victim medically. Currently, in order to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the alleged crime, authorities are interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.
