Association of Architects Assam to Host AAA Conclave 2024 on Sustainable Architecture in Kaziranga

Guwahati, 25th September: The Association of Architects Assam (AAA) is gearing up to host its annual AAA Conclave 2024 from September 27-29 in Kaziranga. The theme of this year’s event is “Integrating Nature in Sustainable Architecture,” reflecting the growing importance of environmentally conscious design in modern architecture.

The Conclave will bring together architects, industry experts, and thought leaders from across India. Notable speakers include *Prof Ar Abhay Purohit, President of the Council of Architecture (COA), who will serve as the Guest of Honour. Other distinguished figures include **Prof Ar Anne Feenstra, a Global Award for Sustainable Architecture laureate, **Ar Charanjit Singh Shah, an expert in sustainable urban infrastructure, and **Ar Chitra Biswanath, a pioneering architect in green design. *Utpal Sharma, Director of Nirma University’s Institute of Architecture, will also deliver key insights.

The event will focus on sustainability, architectural sensibilities, and the integration of natural elements into building design. Creative Group will present exclusive projects, including a special contribution to Kaziranga National Park. The Conclave will also feature the release of the Conclave Journal and an exhibition showcasing products and information from event partners.

Ar Pankaj Phukan, General Secretary of AAA, highlighted the significance of hosting the event in Northeast India, noting that it showcases architects’ contributions to the region and emphasizes the urgent need for sustainable development. Over 150 architects from across India are expected to attend.
