Tripura CM Manik Saha Announces Reopening of Murder Cases from CPI(M) and Congress Regimes

Northeast Desk, 29th September: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has announced that the state government plans to reopen all unsolved murder cases that occurred during the regimes of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Congress. Addressing a blood donation camp organized by BJP’s Ramnagar Mandal, Saha emphasized that justice will be sought for victims of these cases after consulting with legal experts.

Saha, while speaking at the event, also expressed his confidence in the growing dominance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Indian politics. “A time will come when there will be no substitute for the BJP in this country because people have understood that this is the only party that works for them,” he said, highlighting the party’s fulfillment of promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister praised the party’s ongoing social initiatives, which are part of its “Seva Hi Dharma” campaign. “Every year, we carry out social work like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, distributing essentials, and standing by the people in times of need. Meanwhile, the opposition has only focused on blaming us without any substantial work,” Saha said, accusing opposition parties of ignoring their own track record of governance.

Saha also criticized opposition leaders for claiming that there is a breakdown of law and order in the state, pointing out their past record of violence and governance failures. “During their rule, many people were killed, and now they accuse us of undermining democracy. We will ensure all murder cases from that period are reopened and investigated properly,” he asserted.

The Tripura CM attended a second blood donation camp at the Vivekananda Byamagar Gym in Agartala. Reflecting on the gym’s historical importance and his personal connection to it, Saha praised the institution for its contribution to state and national athletics, pledging to support its development.

Saha concluded by urging clubs and social organizations to follow the BJP’s example of public service, encouraging more community-driven initiatives like blood donation programs.
