Arunachal Pradesh Government Signs MoU with Delhi Hospital for Up to Rs 5 Lakh Cashless Treatment

Northeast Desk, 29th September: Beneficiaries of Arunachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) will now receive cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, following a significant partnership between the state government and Delhi’s Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS). The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was officially signed, extending critical healthcare services to residents under the scheme.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the development, emphasizing that eligible patients will receive treatment at ILBS without upfront payment, based on credit authorisation issued through the CMAAY. This will be facilitated on the recommendation of the referral board at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh’s first medical college and state hospital.

“I am extremely delighted to share that we have signed an MoU with ILBS, Delhi. Through this MoU, ILBS will extend cashless benefits to CMAAY scheme beneficiaries in the hospital, offering up to Rs 5 lakh in healthcare services,” Khandu said, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving healthcare access.

The cashless treatment will be provided at Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates, ensuring affordable and quality care for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. The agreement was signed by Krishna Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Health and Family Welfare Department, and Arun Kumar Rastogi, Head of Operations at ILBS.

Under the CMAAY, registered families are eligible for annual health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh, significantly enhancing healthcare affordability and access for the state’s residents.
