Guwahati, 1st October In a shocking incident, regional actress Jiya Deka was abducted by a group of miscreants in broad daylight from the Gotanagar locality, near the Radisson Blu hotel on National Highway 27. The kidnapping has left the local community and the entertainment industry in shock.
According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrators arrived in a car bearing the registration number AS 22 Y 9596 and forcibly abducted Deka before speeding off. One bystander, who attempted to intervene, was reportedly assaulted by the assailants as they made their escape.
Deka, an emerging star in regional soap operas, was reportedly wrapping up her work in Guwahati when the abduction took place. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and a search is underway to locate Deka and apprehend those responsible for the crime.
