Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Pays Tribute on Assam Police Day

Guwahati, 1st October: On October 1, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commemorated Assam Police Day, honoring the dedication and bravery of the state’s police officers. In a heartfelt address, Sarma lauded the Assam Police for their tireless efforts in ensuring the safety and security of the people of Assam.

“Their dedication to serving Aai Asomi (Mother Assam) each day is commendable,” Sarma said, emphasizing the police force’s vital role in maintaining peace and stability. He described the officers as the “anchors of our dream for a Viksit Assam” (Developed Assam), highlighting their significant contribution to the state’s progress.

The Chief Minister also paid tribute to the fallen heroes of the Assam Police, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. “We remember their bravery and commitment to safeguarding our society,” he added, acknowledging their invaluable service to the state and its people.

The day was marked with ceremonies across the state, celebrating the Assam Police’s unwavering commitment to public service.
