Guwahati, 9th October: In a shocking incident just ahead of Durga Puja, a domestic dispute occurred in Bongaigaon town on October 8 after a 45-year-old Maneka Sutradhar was fatally stabbed by her son.
The incident occurred in the Shaheed Bedi area of Bongaigaon, following what appears to have been a heated argument between the mother and son.
Initial reports indicate that a dispute between the two escalated during the clash, leading the son to stab his mother. He fled from the scene immediately after committing the crime.
Local police from the Bongaigaon Sadar Police Station arrived at the site and have since launched an investigation into the case.
Meanwhile, authorities are now working to trace the whereabouts of the absconding son and determine the sequence of the incident that led to the fatal altercation.
