Arunachal: 37-Year-Old Arrested Over Alleged Inappropriate Behavio

Arunachal Pradesh: Police announced on Thursday that they had detained a 37-year-old man in Itanagar for allegedly molesting several schoolgirls and college students.

Superintendent of Police Rohit Rajbir Singh said that the accused, who is a native of Nuna Camp village in Dirang in the West Kameng district, was taken into custody following the filing of a complaint at the Itanagar women police station.

On September 7, a 14-year-old girl was abused, leading to the arrest. While she was riding his scooter to school, the accused offered to give her a ride.

On the ride, the accused made unwanted physical contact with her. To get away, the girl had to leap off the moving car, according to the SP.

Following the filing of the complaint, police looked into the matter and found that he had been the perpetrator of several similar events that had targeted ladies in Itanagar who attended school and colleges, according to Singh.

He said there are seven more victims, according to the inquiry.According to investigators, four of the victims were college students and the other four were schoolchildren.According to them, the accused has admitted to the acts and is currently being held in judicial custody.According to police, other victims will probably come forward.
