Guwahati: On the final day of Navratri, the historic Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati came alive with festive energy as thousands of devotees gathered to offer prayers on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, marking the end of the Durga Puja festivities.
Situated on the sacred Nilachal Hills, the temple witnessed long queues of worshippers seeking blessings from Goddess Durga and her nine incarnations. The Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Tantric centers in India, holds immense spiritual significance and is known for its unique traditions, including the annual Ambubachi Mela, which celebrates the menstruation of the goddess—a powerful symbol of feminine energy and fertility.
