Governor of Arunachal Praises Strategic Projects During BRO’s 75-Project E-Inauguration
Arunachal Pradesh: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), virtually participated in the e-inauguration of 75 infrastructure projects executed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO), led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on *October 12, 2024. While the Defence Minister officiated the event from Sherathang – Kupup Road in Sikkim, Governor Parnaik joined from Raj Bhavan, Itanagar.
Among the newly inaugurated projects are three road projects, 14 bridges, and a helipad, all located in Arunachal Pradesh. These infrastructure initiatives are part of broader efforts to enhance connectivity in the state, which borders sensitive regions.
During the virtual ceremony, Governor Parnaik highlighted the strategic importance of the completed projects, noting that they would bolster national security, improve surface and air communication, and promote tourism in Arunachal Pradesh. He expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for its continuous support in advancing infrastructure development in the state.
The Governor further emphasized that these projects will contribute to the socio-economic growth of Arunachal Pradesh, especially in its border areas. He acknowledged their role in supporting the Vibrant Border Village program and the state’s ‘Seva Aapke Dwar’ initiative, which focuses on delivering government services directly to the people.
This event marks another milestone in the state’s journey toward improved infrastructure, with the BRO’s projects playing a pivotal role in enhancing both the state’s security and development efforts.
