Manipur CM N Biren Singh Chairs Development Meeting to Boost Urban and Rural Growth
Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh convened a meeting with officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) on October 20 to strategize the execution of developmental projects across the state.
Taking to the microblogging platform X, Singh described the meeting as a “productive discussion” aimed at fostering growth and sustainability in both urban and rural sectors. He stated, “Had a productive discussion on effective execution of developmental works to enhance growth and sustenance in both urban and rural sectors, while deliberating on new projects which are in the pipeline.”
The meeting included key participants such as Govindas Konthoujam, the Minister of Public Works Department, Youth Affairs & Sports, and Dr. Vineet Joshi, the Chief Secretary of Manipur.
This gathering follows Singh’s recent commitment to advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the transformation of the Northeast region. On October 18, he met with Union Minister of Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu to discuss developmental goals and collaborative efforts for the region’s progress.
Singh’s proactive approach underscores the state government’s dedication to improving infrastructure and services, as it aims to leverage new projects to foster economic growth and enhance the quality of life for residents in Manipur.
