BJP Membership in Tripura Surpasses 6 Lakh, Aims for 12 Lakh Target: CM Manik Saha
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced on October 21 that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) membership in the state has already exceeded 6 lakh and is on track to meet its goal of 12 lakh members.
During a BJP membership drive in the 8 Town Baradowali assembly constituency on October 20, CM Saha highlighted the growing support for the party. “People have faith in the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many are eager to join the party’s membership drive. So far, more than 6 lakh members have enrolled, out of the 12 lakh target for Tripura,” said Saha.
Participating in the drive at booth no. 16 and 17 in Ward No. 20 of his constituency, the chief minister emphasized the overwhelming enthusiasm he witnessed across different areas. “Everywhere I go, I see excitement. People trust PM Modi and the BJP. In this constituency, we aimed for 20,000 members, and over 12,000 have already joined.”
Saha expressed confidence that the numbers would rise further by the end of the day, noting that offline registration figures are likely to push the overall count even higher. He also extended a warm welcome to the new members joining the BJP family.
The BJP’s membership drive in Tripura continues as the party works towards achieving its target ahead of upcoming elections.
