Assam: Tea Factory Employee Kidnapped by Armed Gang, Ulfa (I) Suspected
Guwahati: Tinsukia district witnessed another alarming abduction case at a tea factory in Jagun, where an employee, identified as Gautam Basumatary, was reportedly kidnapped by an armed gang during the night.
The incident occurred at the factory owned by well-known businessman Radha Chetia.
Authorities suspect the involvement of the banned militant outfit Ulfa (I) in the abduction, raising concerns in the region.
Upon receiving news of the incident, local police rushed to the scene and launched an investigation to trace the whereabouts of the abducted employee and identify those responsible.
This abduction has added to the region’s ongoing security challenges, prompting law enforcement to intensify their efforts in locating Basumatary and ensuring his safe return.
