Kohima: In a significant move to support education, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced the launch of the SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024.
Sponsored by the SBI Foundation, this initiative is one of the largest scholarship programs in India, aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The SBIF Asha Scholarship will award INR 15,000 to each of the top 300 eligible students across every State and Union Territory. The program seeks to ease the financial burden on low-income families, ensuring that deserving students from Class 6 to 12 can continue their education without hindrance. By recognizing academic excellence, the initiative encourages students to stay focused on their studies and pursue their ambitions with renewed motivation.
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria. They should be currently enrolled in Class 6 to 12 and must have secured at least 75% marks in their previous academic year. Additionally, the gross annual family income of applicants should not exceed INR 3,00,000. This ensures that the program reaches those who are genuinely in need of financial support.
The online nomination process for the 2024-25 academic year is now open, and applications will be accepted until October 31, 2024. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications through the Buddy4Study platform.
